The photograph stays yours
It is used to draw your piece and nothing else: not resold, not published, not used to train anything. It is deleted when the order closes.

What makes a good photo to send?
One subject, or two close together, roughly facing the camera, with their eyes visible. Daylight helps. It does not need to be sharp; most of what we stitch from is a phone photo of a dog on a sofa. What we cannot work from is a subject facing away, or a whole crowd on one pillow.
How is the portrait stitched?
Tedooo's design technology draws it from your photo, and you approve it before anything happens. Then it is stitched: the design is traced onto natural linen, the thread is matched to your photograph, and the portrait is built up in thousands of fine directional stitches, the outlines first and then the shading, so the fur and the eyes stand up off the cloth.
Which size should I pick?
The framed portraits come 30 × 30 or 50 × 50 cm. The 30 suits a hallway, a shelf or the wall by the stairs; the 50 holds its own above a sofa or a sideboard. The pillow is one size, 45 × 45 cm, a full sofa cushion.
Can I add a name, or a style?
Yes to both. Type up to 20 characters under your photo, a name or two or a short line, and it is stitched into the design. Pillows also take a style: Halloween, Christmas, Grey Shades, Color Pop or Celestial Night, stitched round the portrait; leave it on Auto and the design follows your photo. If it comes back with something you did not ask for, change it and draw it again. It stays free until you approve one.
Can I send it as a gift?
Yes, and most of what we make leaves as one. Put their address at checkout and it goes straight to them, wrapped in tissue. For Christmas, order framed portraits by 15 November and pillows by 28 November.
How do I look after it?
A framed portrait wants nothing but a soft dry cloth over the frame now and then, and a wall out of hours of strong direct sun, which fades any thread in time. For a pillow, spot-clean the front with a damp cloth and a little mild soap, never bleach, and press it from the back on a low heat if it creases.
